近日悉尼发生了针对留学生的恶性犯罪事件, 震惊世界. 悉尼大学中国学生学者联谊会(SUCSA)再次提醒广大会员,顺请会员转告周围同学,亲友, 为了自身以及家人的幸福, 务必重视个人安全.
SUCSA 个人安全提示:
1 避免在夜间独自出行
尽量和朋友一起出行,选择照明良好的路段行走,必要时可选择乘坐出租车
2 保护好自己的财务
为了防止顺路抢劫,尽量把包放在远离马路的一侧,请确认包的拉链锁好且不易打开,如果出行很晚,最好不要携带贵重物品.
3 在使用ATM的时候要特别小心
在取现时要特别小心,不要在别人面前点钱,不要使用僻静或者阴暗区域的ATM
4 注意周围的环境
注意自己周围发生的事情,不要在行走的时候打电话或听MP3,这样会降低注意力遭到攻击
5 使用自信的肢体语言
在行走过程中采用自信的肢体语言以及和别人适当的眼神交流可以避免自己成为被攻击的对象
6 偏僻的地区往往是危险的
在夜间,无论是出行还是锻炼,尽量选择人多的地方
7 保护好自己的手袋和钱包
将手袋和钱包放到衣服的贴身口袋或者其他不容易让他人触及的地方
8 进入家门的时候最后左右巡视,注意周围是否有可疑人员,确信以后,然后进入房间
9 饮酒会增加受伤的几率
过量的饮酒会给自己造成伤害, 饮酒之后要注意路况,尽量和朋友相互照顾
10 随身携带手机或者电话卡等通信工具
即便是散步或者外出运动,也要随身携带手机或者电话卡等通信工具以防以外发生时可以寻求帮助,并且牢记求助号码
11 变换经常活动的路线
我们通常会选择同一活动路线,比如跑步的路线或者上学上班的路线,适当的变换自己的路线可以避免遭到蹲点堵截
当我们遇到攻击或者犯罪活动时,我们应当做到
1 相信自己的直觉
当我们遇到犯罪活动时,无论尖叫,逃跑,自卫或者或是和罪犯谈判,做决定时我们必须要相信自己的直觉. 在做决定之前要尝试分析罪犯的动机
2 引起周围人的注意
尽量引起周围人的注意,可以大声尖叫和呼救
3 不要为了自己的财物和罪犯搏斗
当罪犯仅仅是为了抢夺你的财物时应舍弃财物, 任何时候个人安全比财物都要重要很多
4 不要放弃
如果我们选择的应付罪犯的方法不奏效,要继续尝试其他策略,这样会给罪犯一个信号--你不是一个容易受害的对象,他们会选择放弃
5 被跟踪
如果发现自己被跟踪,应尽快去往最近的警察局
6 遭到口头骚扰或侮辱
如果遭到口头骚扰或侮辱,不要理会继续前行. 如果是自己出行, 要尽量去往最近的警察局

到校后尽量与所在大学中国学联取得联系，以获得必要的帮助；
● 遇到问题时及时向学校反映，寻求校方帮助；
● 外出旅行前将旅行信息告知房东、朋友及家人；常与家人保持联系，把联系方式、住址等信息告诉家人；
● 注意人身安全，外出时身上宜携带少量现金；晚间避免独自外出；周末尽量避免前往市中心乔治街及其影院一带；
● 遇到紧急情况应“三报”：报警察局，报总领馆或教育组，报学校国际办公室或学生事务处；
在遭到攻击时，首先相信直觉，能跑就跑，情况危急可高声呼救，歹徒害怕引起周围人注意可能会放弃攻击。可适度自卫，但不能防卫过当。在生命受到威胁时，应舍弃财物，以保存生命；
有危险可随时向街上巡逻警察和当地警察局求救；
注意交通安全。过马路应在绿灯情况下走人行横道。万一出现交通事故造成人身受到伤害，一定要上医院治疗。在澳大利亚，每辆车都强制办有针对第三者的人身安全保险（CTP），可以支付受伤人员的医疗费用；
● 在澳学习期间应购买人身医疗和意外事故保险；
生病最好上医院尽早治疗；
不要向借贷公司借高利贷。有经济困难可向学校说明，学校会协助解决你的问题；
因学校倒闭引起权益受损，直接向澳洲教育部门投诉，要求转学或退还学费，或及时向我组反映情况。

此次晚会将以“迎中秋，为奥运喝彩”为主题，所有演员都是学联从广大会员中选拔出来的文艺精英，除了大家喜欢的礼仪队伍表演,歌舞、演唱、小品、乐队表演等节目外，同时还将晚会和奥运紧密联系起来，大胆对节目进行创新，添加小型竞技类游戏及智力问答环节，积极融入奥运精神，增强活动的互动性，让观众在观看之余也能融入到晚会中来，同时也了解更多悉尼大学以及祖国家乡的信息。

学面试礼仪讲座 不因细节而失大
“学联”为同学举办面试礼仪讲座
从最基本的站姿和坐姿到整体的色彩搭配，从发型衣着到言行举止……19日下午，悉尼大学中国学生联谊会在Merewether举办一场面试礼仪讲座，为即将找工作的职场新丁提供一些帮助。
主讲人是澳洲著名模特，彩妆师及礼仪培训师Trish Powers女士，她从穿着打扮、语言表达、临场应对、面试心态等方面给在座的同学上了生动的一课。“以往同学在面试时仅仅注意穿着，发型等外在方面，却很容易忽略服装颜色的搭配和面试该有的礼仪。”Trish Powers女士告诉同学，寻找一种自己合适的风格，做到发型、衣着、色彩、言谈举止与职位、场合相吻合在面试时非常重要，尽量给面试官留下最深刻的印象。此外，面试言谈中表现出足够的自信和一定的幽默感，适当的使用一些肢体语言也会令你在面试中有意外的收获。具备专业知识水平又仪态大方的毕业生，往往能得到很高的印象分。
讲座中还穿插不少互动环节，邀请同学上台演示，现场的气氛十分热烈，常常笑声不断。不仅有女同学上场，几为男生也踊跃参加。Trish Powers女士还现场为一名女同学化妆，帮她实现美丽转变。
金融系的Lindsey同学介绍，自己曾经也参加过几次面试，但应聘中应该穿什么衣服，打扮到什么程度，那种发型适合自己，面试该注意的问题却不是很清楚，甚至来听讲座之前居然不知道自己的站姿和坐姿都不是正确的。不少到场的同学都认为，这次讲座关注个人形象，为大家提供了难得的学习机会，对未来就职时很有帮助。（燕燕）

Another important matter at hand is the preparation for the mid-Autumn festival performances, we are currently looking for volunteers who would be interested in taking part. If you have a personal performance which you are eager to show off in front of a large crowd, or if you want to take part in the festival with a larger group, just come along to our weekly meetings to sign up. It is at Merewether Lecture Room 6 on Tuesdays from 4 to 6. The large scale event is scheduled for Friday the 29th, and lots of high quality performances are expected.
Some of you may remember from the notice earlier in the week that we are looking to hold a seminar on learning techniques for overseas students. Again, if you have a good academic record ( Distinction average is perfectly fine) and wish to share your ideas with the rest of the group, please email sucsa_secretary @hotmail.com to contact me. We may get free food, maybe, butyou will definitely have our gratitude.

Good News Everyone!
SUCSA has organized an exciting event for the upcoming week. We have invited two very distinguished guest speakers to talk to you about etiquettes and mannerisms. Some of you may not understand why this would be important, but in many situations, such as job interviews, formal diners etc. a good grasp of personal etiquette is highly useful. Renowned Australian model June Dally-Watkins and Corporate Trainer Trish Powers will be coming to the SUCSA event on 19th of August to give you a helping hand on matters such as etiquette and presentation. Again we will be having the talk at Merewether Lecture Room 6, where we hold our weekly meetings, between 4 and 6pm. Members should bring their membership card on the day.
SUCSA is also planning a talk on effective study strategies. If you are accomplished in your studies and have obtained high marks in the exams, any exam, perhaps you would be interested in giving a talk to others about how to overcome the many difficulties associated with studying overseas. Dear SUCSA members:
Please see the five information items below.
Volunteers wanted: From the 21st to the 24th of July, SUCSA will be participating in the ISSU student orientation for new students joining Sydney University in the second semester of 2008. We are currently looking for volunteers to help out in the orientation. This is a great opportunity to meet up with people new and old. SUCSA is also currently looking for new committee members to replace graduating members and this is a good chance to introduce yourselves to the selection process. If you are interested, please send an email (in English or Chinese) to SUCSA_Secretary@hotmail.com. There is a plan for a meeting at 2pm on Friday 11th of July in front of the Sydney University Sports and Aquatics Centre (opposite the building of E&B), this will be finalized and we will contact you after you reply to this email.
Football players needed: SUCSA is looking for football players to be part of a SUCSA football team. The SUCSA team will join in an inter-universities (made up of other Chinese associations) football competition starting soon. If you wish to play football, please contact baojiansong1980@hotmail.com.
Good web designers required: the SUCSA website has been earmarked by the committee members for a complete overhaul. We are currently looking for people to help with this task. Experience with webpage design and IT knowledge will be highly helpful. If you are interested, please contact dwwang810@hotmail.com, soon.

2008年5月22日下午15点59分，4个载满了海外广大留学生爱心的红色纸箱在悉尼大学中国学生学者联谊会主要成员的护送下被
安全送到了中国银行悉尼分行唐人街营业厅二楼的赈灾专设柜台。
当5.12汶川大地震的噩耗传到悉尼的时候，每一位身在海外的中国人心中都充满了无限的悲哀，都希望通过任何途经可以为灾区，为祖国献出自己的微薄之力。因此悉尼大学中国学生学者联谊会在悉尼大学副校长(JOHN HEARN international),中国驻悉尼
总领事馆等各方面的呼吁与支持下，在悉尼大学中国学联主席刘女士的带领以及学联全体委员会成员的支持下分别在 200

心捐款活动，分别筹得各币种善款合澳币金额25155.65元以及9159.65元，共计澳币34315.30元。所有捐款现已全部存入中国
驻悉尼总领事馆在中国银行悉尼分行特别开设的四川地震赈灾专款专用账户。（附件为银行收据以及捐款证明扫描件）
此次活动悉尼大学中国学生学者联谊会委员会成员从策划到实施付出了很多的汗水与努力，而目的只有一个，那就是为祖国，
为灾区献出自己的一份力量。活动期间悉尼大学广大中国留学生反映空前热烈，捐款以及签名活动非常顺利。同时，很多外国
友人，特别是很多悉尼大学在校的教职员工都慷慨解囊，给与我们很大的鼓舞，让我们感受到了世界大家庭的温暖，以及学校
对于我们的支持。特此，悉尼大学中国学生学者联谊会向每一位在活动中给与我们支持的中国同胞，海外友人致以我们最崇高
的谢意。这笔不小数额的捐款实实在在地向祖国人民表达了我们这些在海外求学的游子的一颗心系祖国的赤诚之心。
